Whew...

I now officially have a full day under my belt, this includes yesterday morning and this afternoon.  I was sick yesterday, thought I should still go to work, and was told my a Minute Clinic NP that I should not be at work.  I am feeling better physically but mentally am a bit overwhelmed.

We have students on Friday and I feel like there are 50 things to do before then, and 49 of them have escaped my mind!!!

I am excited about reading this year, figuring out a different way to structure it so students are actually reading and engaging in real literature!  Don't get me wrong, I am extremely nervous because I don't quite know how it will go and I don't like too many surprises.  But we have Daily 5 and the F&P book Guiding Readers and Writers to help set us on the right course.  Thankfully I also have Lisa in the same room, helping me when I am too overwhelmed to function.

Well, I need to take my daughter out to a celebratory dinner...she had her first day of preschool today!

I can't wait for Friday when our room is filled with kids, instead of adults (PD is held in our room).  I love working with everyone on our staff but I am most excited to work with the students:)
